A beautiful vintage Japanese Kiyomizu-yaki ceramic bowl, hand-painted with vibrant peony flower motifs, has a rich glaze and fine craftsmanship, characteristic of Kyoto ware. The original gold sticker remains on the base confirming its origin. An impressed kiln/artist mark is also present.
Kiyomizu ware, is a highly regarded pottery tradition from Kyoto, Japan. It dates back over 400 years to the late 16th century, when the Japanese tea ceremony inspired artisans to create refined, elegant ceramics.
